Don't Attach Yourself To A Container!!!

Few months back our Son moved from bottle to Sippy Cup. He had a favourite sippy cup, and he only drank milk from that sippy cup. We tried multiple sippy cups, but he thought only that particular sippy cup had milk, all other cups couldn't.

One day I was trying to explain him that he should not look at the cup, but look at what was inside the cup. Focus on Milk and not the Cup. I tried to explain him in a few different ways, but he wouldn't surrender, wouldn't understand.

When I was trying to explain him, the thought came to my mind that we are also like him. He was not mature enough to understand that the milk could be in any of the sippy cups, and he should not attach himself to the cup but the milk. We are not mature enough to understand that it is Soul that matters and not the physical body. We focus too much on the physical body and think that's what we are. No matter how much we read and how much knowledgable people explain us, it is very hard for us to believe that the body is only a container like the sippy cup for Vaed (my Son), it is not what we are (milk). We will change containers, but still remain the same self (sippy cup will change, but the milk is still milk).

These kind of analogies strike me a lot of times, when I cross road sometimes... I sometimes think that everything in the world is governed by the same law and it is possible to find analogies in everything we do or see. It's just that it is beyond our 5 physical senses to perceive it.
