Dooms Day - The End or The Beginning!!

Yesterday, I came across some material about the famous foretold Dooms Day!! 21st December, 2012. Since, I am a strong believer of prophecies, spiritual and super natural powers, acting of some force beyond our understanding, etc.., and at the same time an engineer who believes in Science, and believes that everything that happens has some explanation, I spent a lot of time reading about different prophecies and beliefs about dooms day.. I read about (only on internet)

• prophecies by different Oracles from Europe, Greece, Central America...
• "I Chi", "Mayan Calender", "Hipo Indians"..
• Scientific beliefs, what scientists have found - the movement of Sun into centre of Milki way, possibility of the effects due to Nibiru, scientific fears of Polar shifts on that day
• Biblical pridictions

All of them closes down to one date.. which make us believe somehow that something is going to happen on that day!! What?? - is it really dooms day??

Well, it's hard to believe that the world is going to end on this one day.. it is beyond our imigination.. but that is what is called "The Judgement Day"..

After all these readings, I kept thinking:

• If this is really the judgement day - Is GOD planning to balance the account of our Karma altogether? If so, it is a good thing, since, then we are going to get freed up from the cycle of birth-rebirth.. This is what humans have strived for.. and probably we are getting it..
• If the world is going to end, and if we are not getting the so called "Moksha".. what is going to happen? Are we going to get rebirth into the new world on earth or somewhere else? Are we going to evolve again from lower species, again going through sufferings, trying to awaken our lower chakras to come back to human birth??
• Probably the world will not end completely, there will be few of us alive to carry this forward.. probably the lucky ones..
• Probably nothing is going to happen.. as we predicted end of world so many times before, but we are still here..

Well, since I am not an initiated soul, I do not have any answers to my thoughts or questions. I can only wait and watch till the day.. hoping for the best to happen.. may it be end or not..
